'Syrah in the mix, this smells and tastes of classic old school Bordeaux with sweet tobacco leaves, herbal spice, tannery leather, cigar box and sweet savoury black currant and black berry intensity with a clear vein of graphite. Bold aromatics of blackberries, cranberry and blackcurrant are followed by hints of savoury, spicy plum with touches of cedar and floral tones. Producer information Glenelly was established in 2003 with a clear vision to produce long-ageing fine wine. It was started by May de Lencquesaing, previous owner of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Bordeaux. Much work has gone into the vineyards, cellar and winemaking but, more notably, their old-world patience has contributed to the wines. The winery is environmentally friendly and the vineyards are managed with minimal intervention and sustainable techniques.
