‘The real aristocrats of Languedoc rosé’
Rose Mont Rose 2021 from Domaine Montrose has just arrived at our cellars! Established in 1701, Grenache-based rosé is their calling card, and Jancis Robinson dubs them 'the real aristocrats of Languedoc rosé'.
Pale and coppery, this rosé blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Cinsault offers up notes of melon, tangerine and spice with dried herbs. Creamy and citrussy on the palate with a juicy acidity, the finish is gentle and focused. It’s utterly delicious and elegant, and for only R185 per bottle, this is a no-brainer. 'You'd do your wallet a great favour by picking this over a sea of overpriced and identical wines from Provence actual,' enthuses Tamlyn Currin MW of Jancis Robinson.com.
The Coste family are 11th generation vignerons. They work organically and biodynamically, are carbon-neutral, and continue to plant local varieties of both vines and trees to enhance the biodiversity of the vineyards and surrounds.
We believe rosé is for all seasons and is impressively versatile with a variety of cuisines. Try this rosé with melon and parma ham to start!
