'A slightly fresher if otherwise similar nose precedes racier and more voluminous flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the delicious, generous and more complex finish that is shaped by citrus-tinged acidity. This is lovely. Drink 2025+.' – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 89-91/100 (Jun 2020)

'There are fully 68 barrels of the 2018 Meursault Village this year, a considerable improvement over the usual 50, and the wine is already very inviting, revealing notes of pear, Meyer lemon, hazelnuts, drawn butter and white flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, with good cut to balance its mid-palate amplitude, concluding with a flavorful finish.' – William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 89-91/100 (Jan 2020)

'The 2018 Meursault Village was matured in puncheons because Dominique Lafon was running out of new barrels for his Premier Crus. It has a very sensual bouquet of dried honey, shaved almond and light passion fruit aromas. The palate is quite sweet on the entry, displaying passion fruit and pineapple tints, and creamy in texture, but for me, it is missing some tension on the finish. I suspect that this will be an earlier-drinking Meursault Village from Lafon. Drink 2021-2029.' – Neal Martin, Vinous, 89/100 (Dec 2020)

'Smells tighter and more lemony than the Clos de la Baronne also shows more oak influence in cedary creamy richness and spice. A touch of ginger here, honey and lemon richness and moderate acidity but all in harmony. Powerful and long. Tasting it again, there’s better freshness than it seemed at first.' – Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com, 16.5/20 (Nov 2019)
