Joseph Drouhin, Mâcon-Bussières Les Clos 2021 – R 395
‘The colour is limpid and bright. The wine develops mineral notes with hints of white flowers. Precise on the palate and long aftertaste. It shows an amazing purity.’ – Winemaker

Tesselaarsdal Chardonnay 2022 – R 350
‘Clean, zesty and citrus-driven, the nose of the 2022 Chardonnay is fresh with hints of oak and plenty of lemon skin and yellow apple. Medium-bodied and with 13% alcohol, the palate is fresh, food-friendly and expressive before ending with a zesty, mineral-driven finish. This little beauty was made with a mix of amphora and oak to bring out and balance dusty minerality with soft, oaky essences. 2022-2031’ – Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, 90+/100

Trizanne Signature Wines, Benede-Duiwenshokrivier Chardonnay 20222 – R 445
‘50% whole-bunch fermentation and malolactic fermentation inhibited. Matured for 11 months in partly new barrels. Pear, peach, citrus and a hint of vanilla on the nose. The palate is light and fresh with a gently savoury finish. Delicate and poised. Alc: 11.83%.’ – Christian Eedes,, 92/100

Thivin Beaujolais, Blanc Clos de Rochebonne 2021 – R 450
‘The 2021 Beaujolais Blanc Clos de Rochebonne is the best rendition of this cuvée I can remember tasting. Offering up aromas of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil, drawn butter and blanched almonds, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise, with a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and a long, saline finish. A low pH of 3.11 helps explain why the 2021 has so much tension and energy. 2021-2030’ – William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 91/100

Olivier Leflaive, Bourgogne Les Sétilles 2020 – R 590
‘Lots of fruit integrity and a great emissary of white burgundy with real drive and balance. 2022-2028’ – Jancis Robinson,, 16.5/20

Newton Johnson Family Vineyards, Chardonnay 2022 – R 490
‘Grapes from three blocks, two north-facing and one south-facing. Matured for 11 months in 228- and 500-litre barrels, 25% new. Aromatics are still very primary with notes of citrus, oatmeal, a hint of vanilla and some flinty reduction. The palate is intense but not overly weighty – extra-concentrated fruit and scintillating acidity before a savoury finish. Pure, energetic and beautifully poised, this is years off drinking at its best. Alc: 13%.’ – Christian Eedes,, 96/100
