Drappier, Réserve de l'Oenothèque 2002 – R 1,395
Richly spiced and creamy in texture, this finely knit Champagne is backed by succulent acidity and underscored by a subtle streak of smoky mineral, with opulent flavors of baked plum, coffee liqueur, kumquat and toasted brioche. Opens up nicely on the plush finish. Disgorged October 2017. Drink now through 2026.’ – Wine Spectator, 94/100

Drappier, Grande Sendrée 2009 – R 1,100
‘Aromatic pastry dough, crème de cassis, apple blossom and graphite notes are well-meshed in this elegant Champagne. The delicate mousse swathes the finely wrought acidic frame in a creamy texture, carrying accents of chalky mineral and lemon pith on the lingering finish. Drink now through 2024.’ – Wine Spectator, 93/100

‘Founded in the early 20th century in the Côte des Bar, Urville-based Maison Drappier produces full-bodied, flavorful wines derived from largely organic farming, ripe grapes, low dosage and comparatively low sulfur winemaking. The range includes single-vineyard bottling La Grande Sendrée, one of the first lieu-dit bottlings produced in Champagne.’ – Wine Advocate

Drappier, Brut Nature Rosé NV – R 695
‘This bone-dry wine is made using Pinot Noir skins to give its salmon-pink color. It is dry and tightly crisp, compared with the brut nature cuvée also made from Pinot Noir. The ripe red fruits give a fruity character that balances the dryness. Like many really dry Champagnes, it needs to age soften the intensity of the acidity, so drink this bottling from 2017.' – Wine Enthusiast, 90/100

‘100% Pinot Noir, a rosé produced using the saignée method, no dosage, no filtering, the Brut Nature Rosé is a cuvée which will delight lovers of freshness, minerality and purity. With hints of rose petals, red fruits, citrus fruits, mandarin orange and also white pepper, the Brut Nature Rosé unveils another facet of rosé Champagne. Firm and focused, with a lively bead and flavors of white cherry, raspberry, ground ginger and smoke, underscored by a hint of almond skin that lingers on the finish. Drink now through 2016.’ – Wine Spectator, 90/100
