'A Cape classic from a single block, with 10 maximum 5-star ratings since 2003 debut. 2019 has 74% sauvignon fermented in oak, semillon in clay then moved to older barrels. On lees a year. Fascinating aromas, with exotic & spicily perfumed elements adding to complexity. Creamy texture, lemony minerality; lingering finish testifies to fruit concentration. A long life ahead.' – Platter's Guide, 5* (96/100)

'Featuring the highest ever percentage of Semillon (26%) under Riandri Visser's stewardship, this Sauvignon-dominated white is consistently among the best Bordeaux blends in the Cape. Wild yeast fermented in its entirety, it's a stunning achievement, with scented, nuanced 30% new wood, notes of grapefruit pith and umami, a herbal undertone and saline, crunchy, mouth-watering acidity. Drink 2022-27.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2020, 96/100

'The 2019 Isliedh Cape Point Vineyards comes from the titular windswept parcel and sees 30% new oak; the Sémillon is aged in clay amphora. This has a wonderful bouquet of beautifully defined Granny Smith apple, gooseberry and kiwi fruit aromas; an underlying mineralité develops with time. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, taut and linear, traces of black currant combining with the citrus fruit toward the finish. Always an evocative cuvée that conjures images of its dramatic birth place, this is a top-class Sauvignon Blanc that would be fascinating to age in bottle. Drink 2022-2030.' – Neal Martin, Vinous, 93/100 (Apr 2021)
