Planted at an altitude of 370m in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, the single vineyard that produces the Bosman Magnum Opus is one of the highest in the entire region. If you enjoyed the ‘standard’ 2017 Bosman Pinot Noir, the 2017 Magnum Opus offers a new level of quality and enjoyment. In comparison to great Pinot Noirs around the world, this offers solid value and is a must-have for Pinot Noir lovers. Exclusive to Wine Cellar.

Tasting notes:
'Light in body but not short of character, the nose of the Magnum Opus startles with sheer depth and precision. Notes of crushed stones, slight reduction, decaying leaves and haunting aromatics unfold to layers of stunning red berry fruit. Very elegant and poised, it offers Chambolle-Musigny refinement with detailed tannins and good length. Drink now to 2025.' – Roland Peens, 94/100 (March 2020)

‘Clear and vibrant with an intense plum heart and a ruby rim. A complex nose with a combination of dark plums and blueberries with luscious hints of fruitcake. The oak lends more tertiary flavours but the core remains fruity with the generosity we have come to rely on from the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde. A gently opulence on the palate, lovely fine tannins and a generous finish. To be enjoyed 7-15 years after the year of vintage.’ – Winemaker
