A near-equal blend of Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot noir from their holdings in Ludes (35%), Ormes (30%), Mareuil-le-port (25%) and Trépail (10%). Slow fermentation with 24 – 36 months on the lees.

'Disgorged in July 2020 with seven grams per liter dosage, the NV Brut Réserve (2018 base) is the latest rendition of this wine. Bursting with aromas of orange oil, crisp orchard fruit and fresh bread, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and gourmand, with tangy acids and an enveloping, pillowy profile. Drink 2020-2030.' – William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 92/100 (Mar 2021)

'Lemon curd, delicate herb and spice notes lead to flavors of crushed white cherry, toasted brioche and honey, with a streak of salinity, in this firm, focused Champagne, showing a lacy mousse. Offers a long, mouthwatering finish. Disgorged January 2018. Drink now through 2022.' – Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator, 92/100 (Nov 2018)

'The NV Brut Réserve is a pretty, open-knit wine. In this release, the Brut Réserve is a bit subdued and not quite as expansive as it can be. Dried orchard fruit, spice and crushed flowers linger on the soft finish. I have seen the Brut Réserve develop nicely for years in bottle post-disgorgement, but I would not push my luck here. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. Disgorged: November, 2019. Drink 2020-2028.' – Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 90/100 (Nov 2020)

'35% comes from chalk vineyards in Ludes and Ormes north of Montagne de Reims and the rest on clay. Based on 2016, 35% reserve wine. Dosage 7 g/l. No fining or filtration. From bottle aged on crown cap and disgorged in December 2018. Deep straw gold. Round, delicate, lightly beery in a nice way. Very honest. Maybe not amazingly long but very attractive already. Easy and round. Nice texture.' – Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, 16.5/20 (Jun 2019)

Producer information Bérêche & Fils was founded in 1847. Building on a strong foundation of traditional Champagne-making learned from their father, brothers Vincent and Raphaël Bérêche, took over in 2004. Today, the estate has 9.5 hectares spread over 21 parcels in Ludes, Ormes, Trépail; their first grand cru site in Mailly on the Montagne de Reims and Mareuil-le-Port in the Vallee de la Marne.

Second fermentation and aging en tirage occurs under cork with an agrafe. The bottles are then hand-disgorged with no to low dosage to maintain the integrity and characteristics of each cuvée.
