‘The 2021 Alvarinho Muros de Melgaço comes in that oversized Moscato-like flute-shaped bottle. You sure won't mistake it for other "Muros" wines. It is an Alvarinho aged for six months in used French oak, coming in dry and at 12.4% alcohol. Focused and very fresh for an oaked Alvarinho, this is vigorous, gripping and perfectly balanced. Perhaps a little shy of concentration, this is still impressive today for its energy and that freshness. Let's lean up for the moment. It should age well.
