The Terroirs is an extra brut non-vintage blend of the têtes de cuvée from 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyards from Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry.

'Disgorged in April 2019 with four grams per liter dosage, Agrapart's NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Terroirs is a blend of 40% 2015 and 60% 2014 and derives from old vines that are around 50 or 60 years old. Mingling notes of citrus oil and white flowers with hints of crushed chalk and rock salt, it's medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive, with a satiny attack that segues into a ripe and vinous but chalky, tight-knit core. 'Sourced from specific grand cru plots of older vines in Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, this blend of two vintages displays a zesty lemon aroma, followed by a palate full of fresh apple and tangerine flavours with creamy wood touches. At 5g/l of residual sugar, this nudges into the Extra-Brut category, and it must be one of the very best examples of the style. 'The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Terroirs is a very pretty wine among the entry-level selections in this range. Bright and vibrant in the glass, the Terroirs bristles with energy, the blend of fruit from sites in Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry works so well here. Citrus, white flowers, white pepper and crushed rocks add a super appealing upper register. This release is a blend of equal parts 2016 and 2015, with about 25% of the wine done in neutral oak. 'Disgorged May 2019 and now on sale. Blend of 60% 2014 and 40% 2015 base wine and some reserve wine like the 7 Crus. All Chardonnay, Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry. Young vines go into the 7 Crus. Just cuvée. Dosage 5 g/l. 20- to 50-year-old vines. Quite good tension and pretty firm on the palate. Good grip. Definitely blanc de blancs. Producer information Since its inception in 1894, Agrapart’s wines have had an underground following and have gained international recognition in recent years. 4th generation Pascal Agrapart farms more than 70 parcels of vines adding up to 12 hectares. These include 9.5 hectares located in the Côte des Blancs Grands Crus Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, 1.5 hectares of Chardonnay and 1 hectare of Pinot Noir in Avenay-Val-d'Or Premier Cru (Montage de Reims).

A traditional Coquard press is used at harvest with fermentation done by the ambient yeast, which Agrapart feels is crucial to the expression of terroir. All base wines undergo malolactic fermentation with aging mostly in 600L demi-muids. No fining, filtration or stabilisation occurs. Dosage is kept low and the Champagnes are typically bottled in May around the full moon.
