Wine Investment – 2018 AIP
Overview
The 2018 AIP forms an alternative wine investment in which the public can capture South Africa's most investable and desirable wines. The portfolio holds a portion of blue-chip 2015 reds but features a majority of rising stars, including investable white wines. Offered with almost 20 years of fine wine trading experience, we believe this investment vehicle attracts the least administration and cost, along with the highest possible return.
Professional cellaring is included in the purchase price with no further costs for the first 5 years. This constitutes a cellaring cost saving of R5,168 per unit on release, an effective 12,9% discount. Flexibility is provided in the ability to trade single wines or entire AIP units. An AIP unit of the same wines from the 2009 vintage would have seen an annual return of 16,3% (as of November 2018).
The 2018 AIP is fully-subscribed. Please email Johan to sign-up to our investment newsletter.
