Wine Club
What? An
attractive mix of international and local wines for
immediate
drinking. We will pair selected imported wines with South
African wines in order to highlight their differences and
similarities. Along with each wine we will
provide notes on why
they taste as they do compared to their
SA counterparts.
Traditionally mixed packs offer an avenue for a retailer to
discard ordinary wines; we guarantee selecting only high quality
wines that we drink on a regular basis ourselves.
Selection will
be made by the Wine Cellar team including Roland Peens, a taster
for WINE magazine, Platter wine guide and a Master of Wine
student. Emphasis will be placed on wines that are
typical of
their growing region, wine making style as well as that offer
immediate drinking. The SA wines matched will be less well known
wines offering unique and rare drinking. Not only does the mixed
pack take out the sometimes difficult choice of selecting
imported wines, but one enjoys a small saving on the retail
price. No doubt you will be able to
expand your wine horizon
whilst enjoying this wonderful beverage. We encourage you to
open up the SA and imported wine along side one another.
When? A
six bottle case will be delivered or be available for collection
every 2 months. The pack will range
in price from
R800 to R1200 according to the theme of the wines in each pack.
Payment?
Details of your credit card must be provided for payments.
Cancellation?
If you are not fully satisfied with the mixed packs,
cancellation of further packs can be done at anytime.
Delivery or
Collection? One can decide on delivery or collection of each
pack, of course delivery attracting the relevant fee of R110/pack.
Themes?
Each pack will focus on a wine region or country; May 2009
shows off the wines of
Bordeaux! Here are some of the future themes one can
look forward to... The wines of Italy -
The wines of the Rhone - The wines of Spain – The wines of
Burgundy – The wines of Portugal – The wines of the
Loire.
