Notes

The vineyards belonging to the Trimbach Family date back to 1626. For almost 400 years the Trimbach family has been promoting Alsace, its history and its exceptional terroirs and fine wines. Currently the family winery is headed by Hubert Trimbach, his nephews Jean and Pierre, and his daughter Anne. The Trimbach family pour a lot of enthusiasm into their winemaking as well as holding traditions of the area in high esteem. Their steely, dry and mineral wines offer true ageing potential and are renowned throughout the world.

Trimbach doesn’t show the name of the vineyard on the bottle nor label their wines as Grand Crus. Their top wine however is a single cru Rosacker dominated by limestone clay. Clos Ste.-Hune is the quintessential Riesling. It is unquestionably the finest produced in France, and can rival any Riesling producing in the world. – Robert Parker

The “Réserve” quality is the result of a rigorous selection of fully-ripe grapes from the Ribeauvillé region. It defines a structured, balanced wine, which is both fruity and subtle. This elegant Riesling, dry and precise, is a worthy accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes.

Tasting notes:
'A firm, bone-dry version, with a subtle mix of crunchy white peach, acacia blossom, Meyer lemon zest and petrol. This is tightly knit now, but the balance and focus suggest it should open with short-term cellaring. Best from 2019 through 2024.' – Wine Spectator, 91/100

'The 2015 Riesling Réserve comes mostly from low-yielding old vines on limestone soils in and around Ribeauvillé. The 2015 opens with a clear, fine, precise and spicy/mineral nose with lemon flavors. Intense, round and juicy on the palate, this is an elegant, quite complex and persistently salty Riesling with good structure and a gastronomic phenolic grip'. – Wine Advocate, 90/100
