Storm Wines, Moya's Pinot Noir 2014

R450

3 in stock

Notes

With a decade and a half of experience in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley (previously as winemaker at Hamilton Russell Vineyards), Hannes Storm aims to produce the finest Pinot Noir possible by focusing on the best suited sites for this challenging variety. If you have not tried these, you are missing out on South Africa’s benchmark Pinot Noirs!

The nose entices with pure dark cherry fruit and floral aromas. There is some evidence of oak, with spice and earthiness providing balance. The palate is fine with a charming richness and a long, savoury finish that keeps bringing you back for more. Immediately drinkable, but will mature over the next 3-5 years. – James Pietersen, Wine Cellar

A cooler than usual vintage displaying layers of elegant complexity. A silky tannin structure compliments the spicy primary fruit perfume. An elegant wine showing beautiful balance – a faithful depiction of the site’s lighter structured, decomposed Granite soils.

Production 150 cases (12). Release date February 2016
