Our International best-seller from the unmissable 2016 vintage

The 2016s from Château Pesquié are the first of the hailed 2016 Southern Rhône vintage. Decanter calls it ‘unmissable’, while Wine Spectator writes that they ‘may even beat the benchmark of 2010’ and Chapoutier goes as far to say ‘it’s the best in 40 years!’

Alexandre and Frédéric Chaudière’s family were pioneers of the Ventoux appellation with a history that dates back to the 19th century. The Terrasses red and white are produced from old terraced vines on the estate, offering an extra level of depth in 2016. The red especially will age for a decade.

Le Paradou is possibly even better value. Produced from old vine Grenache in the rocky Ventoux and Roussillon, it’s a delicious and unpretentious ‘Vin de France’. Matured without oak, ‘this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, no hard edges and a great finish’ - Jeb Dunnuck. Fill your boots!
