Notes

‘A great vintage, indeed the greatest since the legendary 2005,’ writes Allen Meadows of Burghound.com. Offering unbelievable purity of fruit and a fine balance along with the magical ‘Burgundy X-factor’, we have not tasted such delicious young, red Burgundy. The hot and dry 2015 vintage produced majestically ripe fruit but, unlike 2003 or 2009, the red wines have retained incredible freshness and fine aromatics. The 2015 whites require more careful selection and are likely to be over-shadowed by the chiselled 2014s.

Make no mistake, 2015 Burgundy is a great vintage, although quality firmly resides with the red wines instead of the white.’ – Neal Martin

'The 2015 Macon Chardonnay Clos de la Crochette has an enticing bouquet with hints of almond and walnut infusing the citrus fruit, nicely defined with good lift, quite generous compared to others. The palate is well balanced, a little more rounded in texture, with fresh citrus lemon and lime on the entry, It comes across as being quite saline toward the finish that feels lilting and nonchalant, so I recommend enjoying this over the next six or seven years.' – Wine Advocate, 90/100
