Notes

Region – Montagne de Reims

80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay

This historic village is located at the crossroads of the Marne Valley, the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. From the time of the renaissance, the wines of Aÿ, still red wines, white or gray, acquire a particular reputation among the wines of the province of Champagne.

The Gosset family has cultivated vines on the soils of these noble origins for more than 4 centuries. Pierre Gosset, winemaker in 1584, was undoubtedly one of the most famous ancestors. From his descendants, we find Auguste Gosset and his three sons. Among them, Gabriel Gosset, a polyculturist, winemaker and breeder, initiated the manipulation activity in the 1930s. With the help of his wife, Andrée Brabant, he developed his first bottles: the birth of the Gosset-Brabant brand. Jean Gosset, their son, in love with the land, seconded by his wife, now develops the winery which he hopes in turn to one day hand down to his children, Michel and Christian.

Both of them strive to enhance the character of their vineyards and more particularly the Grands Crus of Aÿ and Chouilly.

Tasting notes:
Golden colour with a light and regular bubbles. The nose has the typical aromas of the “house style”, pear, anise, butter and chulk. The mouth is powerful. A round wine with body and a perfect richness.
