Notes

Grenache Blanc 86%, Verdelho 14%

'Exotic tangerine, dried banana on leesy, skin-macerated 16. Full bodied (yet just 13.2% alcohol) & mouth coating, with persistent grip, enlivening 14% Verdelho. Small portion whole bunch, 3 days skin contact, 10 months old oak, as other whites'. – Platter's Wine Guide 2018, 5*

Vinification:
3 days skin ferment, at 20 balling, pressed to old French barrel with lees, to finish alcoholic and mlf ferment. 10 months maturation, No fining.

Tasting notes:
'It’s hard to pick out one wine from the Elemental Bob line up, such is the sustained brilliance of the winemaking here, but this cuvée of Grenache Blanc with 15% Verdelho would be my pick. Subtle spice and umami flavours, with some skin tannins, lovely freshness and a dry, savoury finish. Remarkable, challenging winemaking of real bravery'. – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2017, 95/100

'Fermented for three days on the skins before 10 months maturation in old oak. A top note of dried herbs before pear, white peach and a hint of lime. Medium bodied with particularly fresh acidity and very savoury, amost salty finish'. – Christian Eedes, 90/100
