Notes

David and Nadia Sadie head up their Swartland-driven project with passion while focusing on a range of organic, old-vine, dry land bush vine vineyards. They aim to produce fresh, natural wines with minimumal intervention.

In the vineyard they aim for biological farming and in the cellar we work as natural as possible. It is all about the soil and vineyards after all. They believe in a pure, fresh and natural style where site and soil are at work with minimal influence from a winemaking point of view. They are members of the Swartland Independent Producers.

Tasting notes:
'From a 1968 vineyard (Chenin Blanc in the main but interplanted with other varieties as was the custom of the time) and if the bigger-volume wines are slightly below par because of the drought, this most definitely is not. A subtle but utterly compelling nose of pear, white peach, citrus, hay and yellow earth. The palate displays extraordinary fruit concentration with an invigorating line of acidity, a slight bitterness to the finish merely an extra point of detail. Intricate, harmonious, long – an absolute must-buy for any serious collector.' – Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za, 97/100
