Stupendous value Stellenbosch Cabernets – Including limited 95-pointer

There is no denying that Stellenbosch produces SA’s finest Cabernet Sauvignons but, what is staggering, is the value that can still be found. From the latest Prescient Winemag Cabernet Sauvignon top 10, we’re highlighting 2 such wines, including a small parcel of the top-scoring 2017 Croydon Covenant Cabernet Sauvignon.

2017 is shaping up to be a classic vintage on par with, if not better than, the great 2015 vintage. Of the top 8 wines that scored 93 and above, 5 were 2017s, including the Croydon Covenant Cabernet Sauvignon and Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection Cabernet Sauvignon.

For sheer value and consistency, look no further than the 2017 Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection Cabernet Sauvignon. We’ve highlighted this wine before and its track record speaks for itself. This is classic Stellenbosch Cabernet at a steal!

We have also managed to secure a small quantity of the 2017 Croydon Covenant Cabernet Sauvignon. Grown a mere whisper away from the ocean, at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains, it is an elegant wine with coated tannins and fine-boned structure – smart, precise and shimmering with the class of 2017. The wine is grown and vinified by Rikus Neethling of Bizoe and Nico Grobler of Eikendal.

Please note, availability is limited.
