Notes

In a nutshell, their aim is to vinify extraordinary Cape vineyards. In doing this, they hope to find the voice of the land. That voice may be a choir of amazing blocks blended into one bottle, or it may be the purity and beauty of a single vineyard soloist. They believe that fine wine is grown, rather than made. In their cellar, a vineyard is allowed to become a wine without interference.

Tasting notes:
'The last release of a Cinsault by the Alheit Vineyards team, the Flotsam & Jetsam range that used to accommodate this wine now discontinued. From Stellenbosch grapes, vinfication involved 100% whole-bunch fermentation before maturation in old oak and cement. The nose shows cranberry to go with subtle hints of rose geranium, thyme, spice and white pepper. The palate is very light bodied with snappy acidity and fine tannins. Charming – just beautifully poised if not too complex. Alcohol: 11.5%.' – Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za, 90/100
