Cape Town Tastings

wine tasting cape town
Wine Cellar offers three types of tastings:
  • Wine Cellar Tastings: Taste wines from the world's top producers. This year's line-up includes dinner with Véronique Drouhin, a Thelema Cabernet Sauvignon vertical and a Burgundy 2011 tasting.
  • Introductory Tastings: After a packed series of Introductory Tastings last year, our new series will once again guide you through famous regions and wines from around the world. Unlike our other tastings, these are not 'blind' and cater to both the novice and seasoned taster. Our informal yet informative tastings will kick-start your wine love affair. The benchmark international wines will be compared to top SA wines that are pushing the boundaries.
  • Custom Tastings: Wine Cellar offers custom tastings to suit your palate and pocket at the office or in your home. Contact for further information.
Tastings start at 18:30 and end at 20:00; dinners finish at around 22:00. We generally taste between 12 and 16 wines.

The highlight of the tasting will undoubtedly be the Vieille Julienne Réserve, of which only 500 cases are made, and which was rated 99/100 by Parker!
